Hi Reader

Better House Sits Start With One Conversation

One of the busiest discussions in our Facebook group this week wasn't about where to house sit.

It was about communication.

The question was simple:

"Are daily pet photos a reasonable expectation?"

More than 90 people shared their thoughts in under a day.

Some homeowners love receiving daily updates and photos. Others are happy with a quick message every few days. Likewise, some sitters enjoy sending regular updates, while others feel constant check-ins can make it difficult to settle into the sit.

Reading through the comments, one thing became really clear.

There wasn't one right answer.

Because successful house sits aren't built on daily photos.

They're built on agreeing expectations before the sit begins.

How often will you communicate?

What does the pet's daily routine look like?

Who do you contact if something unexpected happens?

Are there any house rules or little things that are important to the homeowner?

These conversations might seem small, but they often make the biggest difference to how relaxed and enjoyable a sit becomes for everyone involved.

That's exactly why we've created our brand-new free resource.

Freedom ListGet Remote Jobs Here | Live & Work From Anywhere. Hi Reader One thing I’ve noticed in our Facebook group lately is that although things are a little quieter than peak season, house sits are still popping up. And that’s important because a lot of people assume that by mid-June they’ve missed their chance for summer travel. In reality, many homeowners are only just finalising plans for July and August. Travel dates change. Family plans shift. Work trips come up unexpectedly. Pets...

You can start by building one flexible income stream, testing what works,...

Freedom ListGet Remote Jobs Here | Live & Work From Anywhere. Hi Reader House sitting in 2026: clearer chats, better sits, happier pets We’re doing a little tidy-up in our Facebook group this week to make it easier for house sitters and homeowners to actually find each other.
