Hi Reader

The moment everything changes...

I’ve been having a few conversations lately with people who want more flexibility – more travel, more freedom, more control over how and where they work.

But they’re all standing in the same place.

Right on the edge of change.

For some, it’s leaving a full-time job that feels safe but draining. For others, it’s the end of a contract with no clear next step.

And underneath it all is the same thing, fear.

Fear of not finding the next opportunity. Fear of losing stability. Fear of making the wrong move.

The thing is, that feeling often shows up right before things shift.

Here are three small ways to move through it:

  1. Reduce the size of the leap
It doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Start with one remote contract, one freelance client, or one application. Small steps build momentum.
  2. Create proof, not perfection
You don’t need to feel ready. You need evidence. Apply for roles, pitch for work, have conversations. Confidence comes after action, not before.
  3. Give yourself a runway
Even a short financial or time buffer can take the pressure off. It turns a leap into something more controlled and intentional.

You don’t remove fear by waiting. You reduce it by moving.

What they don't tell you about house sitting

One of the biggest things that holds people back from house sitting – and from travelling more generally – is uncertainty.

Is it safe?
What could go wrong?
What don’t people talk about?

In this video, we share a more honest look at house sitting – the realities, the risks, and how to approach it with confidence.

If fear is the thing holding you back, this is a good place to start.

Freedom ListGet Remote Jobs Here | Live & Work From Anywhere. Hi Reader The digital nomad skill nobody talks about... Recently I’ve been speaking with a number of friends and travellers who are hoping to build enough remote work experience to travel more freely and for longer. But something interesting kept coming up in those conversations. It wasn’t skills. It wasn’t technology. It wasn’t even finding remote jobs. It was confidence in communication. Confidence to talk about what they do....

Freedom ListGet Remote Jobs Here | Live & Work From Anywhere. Hi Reader When have events outside your control disrupted your travel plans? I’ve been working in Australia during February and was due to head back to my base in the UK this past week. Instead, I was turned around mid-journey because of the sudden turmoil and airspace closures following the outbreak of war in the Middle East. Flights cancelled. Routes rerouted. Plans paused. It was a sharp reminder of something we don’t talk about...

Freedom ListGet Remote Jobs Here | Live & Work From Anywhere. Hi Reader Are you remote-work ready – or just remote-work hopeful? One thing I keep noticing is how many people want remote or flexible-first roles, but their online profiles tell a completely different story. If every role you’ve had is office-based, locally focused, or tightly defined – and there’s no signal of independence, adaptability, or global work – you’re invisible in a very competitive market. Remote-first hiring managers...
